The Pets Behind The Press
Behind every great media outlet is a great companion. Sometimes furry, sometimes feathered, sometimes scaled, and sometimes supervising from the couch.
NYPA is inviting all members to submit photos of their pets for a new segment we're calling Pets Behind The Press, a community feature celebrating the animals that remind us behind every newsroom is a little, sometimes big, personality and fun!
Dogs, cats, birds, rabbits, reptiles, fish, farm animals—if they’re part of your life, they’re part of the story.
How It Works

Submit your photo(s)
Send us a photo, or photos, of your pet. Any kind, any personality, we don't discriminate. No costumes or props required, however, it's very much encouraged!

Get featured
Every submission will appear in a Pets Behind The Press online gallery on the NYPA website in the new year.

Select photos with the most clever captions/props will be featured on the front page of our next edition of NewsBeat and across NYPA social media.
